RF Design Engineer

This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects aimed at enhancing national security and defence capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Design, simulate, and implement RF and analogue electronic circuits and systems for defence-related projects, including electromagnetic warfareConduct hands-on integration, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of RF and analogue electronic circuits to optimise performanceParticipate in design reviews, providing valuable technical input to enhance project outcomesPrepare and maintain high-quality technical documentation and reportsProvide technical support to the Technical Lead and contribute to risk management processesMentor and provide feedback to junior engineers to support their professional growthProactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, both within and outside the project teamJob Requirements:Experience in RF design engineeringProficiency in using Microwave Office and Altium for RF performance modelling and PCB circuit layout designExperience in designing RF solutions with very low SWaP-C (Size, Weight and Power, and Cost)Knowledge of RF design for harsh environments (EMC, vibration, thermal)Experience with spectrum analysers, vector analysers, power meters, signal generators, filters, switches, receivers, and power suppliesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualificationAdditional Skills and Qualities:Excellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to foster the use of industry standards and best practicesStrong technical leadership qualities, including providing guidance to colleagues and stakeholdersAble to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamBenefits:Competitive salaryFlexible benefits package covering Health and Wellbeing, Savings and Protection, and Life, Leisure and EntertainmentFriendly and inclusive working environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCommitment to Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and InclusionSecurity Information:Due to the nature of this position, you must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance and then DV clearance.
