I’m working with a leading global organisation that’s looking to bring on a Senior Network Architect to shape and enhance their enterprise network environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cisco specialist to lead high‐level design, architecture, and optimisation across a complex, high‐performance estate within a financial services client.
What You’ll Do
- Lead network architecture & design for high‐performance, complex environments.
- Develop detailed network blueprints, technical specifications, and future‐state designs.
- Bring forward new ideas and challenge existing design patterns to strengthen standards and innovation.
- Act as a Cisco technology expert across routers, Cisco & Meraki switching, firewalls, SD‐WAN/Viptela, Nexus, and Meraki wireless.
- Support and optimise core network services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain strong security controls, aligning to best practice and regulatory standards.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex issues, conducting root‐cause analysis and driving high service quality.
- Maintain up‐to‐date documentation and share knowledge across the wider engineering team.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years’ experience in network engineering and architecture.
- Extensive hands‐on expertise with Cisco networking technologies (IOS, IOS‐XE, NX‐OS).
- Strong background in routing & switching, SD‐WAN, network security, and enterprise‐scale design.
- CCIE certification.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Financial Services / Hedge fund experience OR a fast paced startup environment.
