Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This permanent role provides an excellent opportunity for an engineer to further develop their software quality assurance skills within a dynamic and impactful industry.

• Ensuring adherence to software quality assurance processes and standards
• Supporting diverse programmes and project activities
• Collaborating with the UK Engineering Directorate's software development teams
• Ensuring quality standards for hi-tech systems
• Building strong relationships with colleagues across various programmes
• Leading Project Quality Assessments and identifying risks and critical issues
• Providing input to monthly reports
• Maintaining clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing

• Understanding and background in software development and quality assurance
• Knowledge of software processes, including national and international standards
• Ability to influence change and collaborate objectively
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage unexpected changes
• Engineering Degree or equivalent, with relevant experience
• Experience or knowledge of configuration management, documentation, and requirements management systems
