Software Support Engineer
Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in C++, Ada, Java, or Rust to join their dynamic Simulation Software Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improving reliability and reducing technical debt within the Simulation Software Department
- Working in an agile manner closely with customers to understand and meet their needs
- Resolving complex issues and ensuring the reliability of Command-and-Control Systems
- Developing deep knowledge of the architecture to make the platform reliable and resilient
- Implementing durable fixes to identified root causes
- Working with CI/CD pipelines and writing Automated Test Scripts
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Software Engineering
- Proficiency in C++, Java, or Rust with a willingness to learn and develop in Ada
- Understanding of key software development concepts within an Agile environment
- Experience of performance tuning and root-cause analysis
- Willingness to build deep system architecture understanding
Desirable Skills:
- Prior experience with the Ada programming language
