Are you a Systems Engineer who thrives on requirements clarity, verification rigour, and system assurance Do you enjoy working on mission‐critical, safety‐focused systems from definition through to validation in live operational environments?
We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to play a key role in defining, verifying, and validating complex airport and aviation technology solutions used in real‐world, high‐reliability environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and contribute to the definition, analysis, and management of system and interface requirements
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned to customer and regulatory needs
- Build and maintain requirements traceability across design, implementation, and test phases
- Plan and support Verification & Validation activities including integration testing, FAT, SAT, and operational validation
- Review designs and implementations to ensure compliance with approved requirements
- Support change control by assessing requirement impacts, deviations, and change requests
- Collaborate closely with software, architecture, and operations teams to resolve issues and close gaps
- Produce high‐quality technical, V&V, and operational documentation in line with QA processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering and V&V methodologies
- Support deployments and acceptance activities at customer sites (UK and occasional international travel)
What We’re Looking For
- Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) in systems, software, avionics, or a related field
- Experience delivering complex or mission‐critical systems
- Strong hands‐on experience in requirements engineering (capture, analysis, traceability, change management)
- Practical exposure to verification and validation across the systems lifecycle
- Familiarity with structured development models (e.g. V‐model or similar)
- Comfortable working with Windows and Linux environments to support testing and validation
- Methodical, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligible for UK government‐level security clearance
- Willing to travel up to 30–40%, primarily within the UK
