Systems Engineer
Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. This permanent position requires you to be on-site three days per week, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applying Systems Thinking to understand the broader problem space and leading engineering teams through the engineering lifecycle
- Supporting the setting, management, and reporting on project maturity measures to assure performance to customers and internal stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining engineering and assurance processes in response to technical and operational needs
- Preparing integrated warship design models, drawings, and specifications, and managing governance reviews
- Providing technical expertise to conduct reviews, manage risks and issues, and ensure work packages are delivered to cost, schedule, and quality
Job Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in a relevant technology, engineering, science, or IT discipline or equivalent experience
- Understanding of key systems engineering principles, methodologies, and lifecycle competence with systems engineering tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of large complex product design processes and assurance activities is advantageous
- Experience in Systems Full Lifecycle and comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering
