Windows Engineer (Active DV Clearance Required)

Role details:
We are supporting a defence client who require 2 x DV cleared Windows Engineers to join them on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be part of the Digital Excellence function, providing critical IT services to the business, ensuring the security and efficiency of operations within highly restricted environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational BAU support, administration & configuration management across Infrastructure and Workplace Windows Environments in restricted secret & above networks
- Act as Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for Windows-related issues, performing incident response and remediation.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the business IT environment.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance and patching across Windows Environments.
- Manage changes to the restricted Windows Environment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Create, maintain, and audit inventory information and asset registers.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation and problem resolution guides.
- Resolve incidents related to Windows Services in line with agreed SLAs, escalating as necessary.
- Coordinate with incident and technical managers during high-severity incidents.
- Identify root causes of recurring incidents and implement long-term solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Active DV clearance is mandatory.
- Extensive experience as a Windows Engineer, capable of working across both Infrastructure and Workplace environments.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Windows OS, Desktop Applications, Virtualisation, Storage Solutions, AD, and Access Management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networking principles.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for maintaining comprehensive records and guides.
- Ability to work fully on-site due to the nature of the network.
