We're partnering with an established consultancy that's continuing to invest in its cloud data platform capabilities. They're looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for building, maintaining and optimising modern cloud-based data platforms.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be:

  • Design, build and maintain scalable Databricks cloud data platform infrastructure
  • Support engineering teams by deploying secure, production-ready environments
  • Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments
  • Implement platform security, governance and access controls
  • Monitor platform performance, reliability and cost efficiency
  • Participate in technical workshops and architecture discussions
  • Produce technical documentation and operational guidance
  • Work closely with engineers, architects and stakeholders to deliver modern data platform solutions

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will have experience with:

  • Commercial experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Modern cloud data platforms and distributed data processing technologies
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
  • Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
  • CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar
  • Data platform architecture and best practices
  • Cloud security, governance and identity/access management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of technical delivery
