We're partnering with an established consultancy that's continuing to invest in its cloud data platform capabilities. They're looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for building, maintaining and optimising modern cloud-based data platforms.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be:
- Design, build and maintain scalable Databricks cloud data platform infrastructure
- Support engineering teams by deploying secure, production-ready environments
- Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments
- Implement platform security, governance and access controls
- Monitor platform performance, reliability and cost efficiency
- Participate in technical workshops and architecture discussions
- Produce technical documentation and operational guidance
- Work closely with engineers, architects and stakeholders to deliver modern data platform solutions
As a Data Platform Engineer, you will have experience with:
- Commercial experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
- Modern cloud data platforms and distributed data processing technologies
- Cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
- CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar
- Data platform architecture and best practices
- Cloud security, governance and identity/access management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of technical delivery
