Job Role: Account Director / Senior New Business Sales Manager

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester (3 days per week in-office)
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 OTE £120,000+ (uncapped)
A growing and highly regarded managed IT services provider, supporting mid-market organisations with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital workplace solutions, is looking to grow their team with x2 Account Directors. Following strong growth in new client acquisition, the business is investing in its commercial team to drive pipeline development, new logo wins, and strategic account expansion across private and public sector organisations.

Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years’ experience selling IT solutions into mid-market organisations (150–500 users)
- Direct new business experience is essential; candidate must have a proven track record of winning new clients
- Strong knowledge of managed IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital workplace solutions
- Experienced in structured discovery, consultative and value-based selling
- Comfortable managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and close
- Existing relationships with mid-market private or public sector organisations is advantageous but not essential
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business by selling managed IT, cloud, security, and digital workplace solutions into mid-market organisations
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and close
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities
- Lead discovery meetings and workshops to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Collaborate with technical and customer success teams to maximise client outcomes
- Identify and capitalise on upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
