We're partnering with an exciting FCA-authorised FinTech that is redefining the embedded finance and open banking landscape. The business has spent the last few years building a market-leading platform that enables FinTechs, lenders, PropTech companies and other technology businesses to securely access customer transactional data through embedded open banking solutions.
The company is now entering its next phase of growth with a Seed funding round underway and ambitious plans to build its commercial team.
This is a rare opportunity to become the first Sales Development Representative in the business and play a pivotal role in shaping the future go-to-market function.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Founder, you’ll be responsible for taking a high volume of inbound interest, improving qualification processes and creating a scalable sales development engine.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how the sales function is built from day one, with genuine progression into future leadership opportunities as the company scales.
Responsibilities will include:
- Qualifying inbound prospects and understanding their technical and commercial requirements
- Managing prospect conversations across FinTech, lending, PropTech and wider technology sectors
- Educating customers on a complex, compliance-led open banking product
- Building and developing outbound prospecting strategies as the sales team grows
- Working closely with the Founder to refine messaging, sales processes and customer journeys
- Supporting the creation of a scalable GTM function
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial instincts with the ability to understand technical products. This is not an entry level SDR role.
You'll likely have:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a B2B SDR, Business Development or Sales role
- Experience selling SaaS, FinTech or another technical software solution (FinTech preferred)
- A proven ability to generate and qualify outbound opportunities
- A consultative approach, with the confidence to educate and challenge prospects
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in the future of finance and technology
- A startup mentality and desire to make an impact
