Senior .NET Backend Developer

£55,000 to £75,000

1 day a week Hybrid – Cheshire

We are hiring a Senior .NET Backend Developer to take ownership of backend services running in Azure. You will influence technical direction, raise engineering standards, and work closely with product and leadership in a collaborative, long-term environment.

What you will do

• Build, own, and support backend services in production

• Design and develop APIs, integrations, and data pipelines

• Work across a mix of greenfield development and core system improvements

• Lead architectural and technical decision-making

• Mentor mid-level developers and raise code quality

• Collaborate closely with product and senior stakeholders

What we are looking for

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET

• Experience building and maintaining backend services

• Solid knowledge of SQL Server

• Hands-on experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience with CI pipelines and automated deployments

• Strong understanding of clean architecture and best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development

• JavaScript or jQuery for integration points

• Experience improving reliability, performance, or scalability

• Mentoring or technical leadership experience
