Solutions Designer
Solutions Designer Permanent | Glasgow or Edinburgh | Hybrid working
A leading, technology‐driven organisation is embarking on a major modernisation journey and is seeking an experienced Solutions Designer to help shape and deliver its product strategy.
This role is ideal for someone with a full‐stack development background who has transitioned into solution design/architecture, and who thrives on working closely with developers to bring new products and features to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of end‐to‐end solutions, integrations, and application architectures
- Partner with business analysts and developers to translate requirements into clear, actionable technical designs
- Work hands‐on with engineering teams to shape and deliver new features and product enhancements
- Define data flows and integration patterns for a modern data platform
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders
- Contribute to and influence the organisation’s long‐term technology strategy
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong full‐stack development background, now focused on solution design
- Deep experience across Microsoft technologies
- Cloud architecture expertise (Azure preferred)
- SaaS and cloud‐native platform knowledge
- Proven ability to produce high‐quality technical designs and collaborate effectively with developers
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non‐technical stakeholders
