Engineering Lead

A marketing agency is recruiting an Engineering Lead to join their Software Development team. Paying up to 100k per annum you will be based out of their West London offices.

They are entering an exciting new phase of growth driven by their product led vision. As Engineering Lead, you'll be at the forefront of their greenfield product development efforts, leading a cross-functional engineering team, based both in the UK and abroad. With ownership of architectural decisions, you'll oversee the creation of scalable solutions that are built by your team, managing their work stack, and ensuring technical excellence across all stages of the product lifecycle.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone that enjoys solving complex problems and is passionate about building products that positively impact the bottom line.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of products
  • Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using the most appropriate technologies.
  • Lead, manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and commercial teams to translate business goals into technical solutions.
  • Champion modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps.
  • Continually drives a pragmatic adoption of AI technologies and associated ways of working that supports the growth of the business, without exposing it to unnecessary risk.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and platforms as needed.
  • Ensure technical decisions support long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development.
  • Take ownership for the build and maintenance of internal systems and applications.

Key Skills Required:

  • Software development experience in C# is preferred. (Python is a plus)
  • Full stack development experience preferably in JavaScript
  • Cloud - Azure or AWS
  • Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and product development workflows.
