Network Engineer
Network Engineer, CCNP level, Security, Design, Implementation.
They are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to take ownership of the design, security, performance, and ongoing evolution of the UK's network infrastructure.
This is a critical position responsible for leading network architecture, firewall management, connectivity solutions, infrastructure integration, and cyber security initiatives across clinics and corporate locations. You will play a key role in supporting partnerships, EMR integrations, and infrastructure modernisation programmes, ensuring all solutions remain secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.

- Domain & Infrastructure Integration
- Multi-site Network Modernisation
Future Clinic Infrastructure Standards & Design
- Design, implement and support enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
- Manage VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks and firewall technologies.
- Own network segmentation, firewall architecture and rule management.
- Deliver network upgrade programmes across multiple clinical locations.
Establish and maintain network standards for current and future sites.
- Implement and manage network security controls and best practices.
- Identify, assess and mitigate network-related security risks.
- Support Cyber Essentials, DSPT and broader compliance initiatives.
- Review and address findings from vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
Drive improvements in network resilience and security posture.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line escalation support for complex infrastructure issues.
- Support technologies including Azure AD, endpoint management and connectivity services.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity and resilience.
Ensure high levels of service availability across all sites.
Skills Required:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience.
Solid experience within network and infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- TCP/IP Networking
- Routing & Switching
- VLANs
- Enterprise Networking Environments
- Hands-on experience managing firewalls and secure VPN connectivity.
Experience working within multi-site or enterprise-scale environments.
Desirable
- Knowledge of EMR/EPR integrations.
- Understanding of Cyber Essentials, DSPT and Zero Trust security principles.
- Experience supporting cloud networking environments within Azure and/or AWS.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- CCNA
- CCNP
- Network+
Microsoft Azure Certifications
For the initial 6-month period you will be required to work on site 5 days a week. After this time frame it will be a Hybrid working model.
