A leading provider of financial services is seeking a solid and reliable macOS Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MAC engineer to help build a support service for our Apple MAC estate.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert 1st line support for macOS, applications and hardware including peripherals.Deliver outstanding customer service and technical assistance.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to macOS, software applications, and network connectivity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement possible service improvements.Develop and maintain macOS troubleshooting guides.Train and mentor junior IT staff on macOS support and best practices.Stay current with the latest macOS updates, features, and security patches.Act as a point of technical expertise within Colleague IT Services.Utilise ServiceNow to analyse impact of the Mac Support service, processes and procedures, taking ownership of any critical issues / complaints and provide operational support to the Service Desk analysts.Support the day-to-day management of the wider service desk whilst supporting management in delivering the overall service, ensuring departmental SLAs and important metrics are attained.Skills required: Extensive experience with macOS and Apple hardware support.Deep knowledge of JAMF and Apple Business Manager.Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in macOS environments.Knowledge of Microsoft Entra\Active Directory.Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and system administration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) are a plus.Nice to have: Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions for Apple devices.Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).Experience in supporting colleagues both at home and in the office, including the nuances of home configurations, including peripheral connectivity and solving personal Wi-Fi issuesPrevious use of ServiceNow for incident management.Knowledge of smartphone technology (iPhone), especially with regard to Mobile Application Manager and Microsoft Authenticator
