Junior Full Stack Engineer
We’re looking for a motivated and curious Junior Full Stack Engineer to join a small, experienced technology team within a specialist insurance organisation based in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early programming experience who wants hands-on exposure across the full stack, strong mentorship, and the chance to build real tools used by the business every day.
About the Role
You’ll be working closely with two full stack engineers and a database developer, building and supporting web applications that sit at the heart of the company’s operations. The tech stack includes TypeScript, Angular, React, Node.js and MS SQL Server. Experience with these technologies is helpful but not essential — what matters most is your enthusiasm to learn and grow as a software engineer.
You’ll also play a key role in understanding user needs, designing intuitive interfaces, and helping the business make better use of its data.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the existing software stack and upcoming development pipeline
- Support and enhance current internal tools
- Build new applications to streamline business processes
- Work with a wide range of datasets and help present meaningful insights
- Engage directly with users to understand requirements and gather feedback
- Take on ad-hoc development and data tasks as part of a small, collaborative team
