At the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), our work touches the lives of millions. From approving vaccines to regulating medical devices, we play a critical role in protecting public health, and strong digital and technology capability is central to that mission.
We are seeking a Procurement Lead to join our Digital and Technology Commercial team at an exciting point in the Agency’s transformation. This role sits at the heart of MHRA’s ambition to become one of the most digitally advanced medical regulators in the world, supporting nationally significant programmes through high-quality, value-driven commercial activity.
MHRA is a rewarding place to build your career. You’ll work in an organisation with a clear public purpose, where integrity, collaboration and innovation are genuinely valued. Within Digital and Technology, you’ll be part of a forward-looking community that embraces change, invests in its people and encourages continuous learning - all while delivering work that truly matters.
This role is about more than running procurements. The right candidate will bring the mindset to thrive in a complex, fast-moving environment: confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and motivated by delivering outcomes rather than just process. You will be proactive and organised, able to balance pace with compliance, and willing to challenge constructively to improve ways of working.
You’ll lead end-to-end procurement activity, manage a varied commercial pipeline, and provide trusted advice that enables digital teams to deliver securely, sustainably and with value for money at the forefront.
If you are adaptable, collaborative and driven by public impact and want your commercial expertise to support digital innovation that protects patients and the public, then this is an opportunity to make a real difference. We promote flexible working, learning and development prospects and the opportunity to shape commercial outcomes at a national level.
