We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Lead to join our growing Transformation Team at Mental Health Matters. Our Transformation Team plays a vital role in ensuring our people have the technology, systems and digital tools they need to deliver life-changing mental health services across the UK. As technology continues to evolve, we're committed to embracing innovation, improving the digital experience for colleagues and supporting the organisation to work smarter, more efficiently and more securely. As IT Lead, you will provide both technical leadership and operational management for MHM's IT systems, infrastructure and digital services. Working closely with our Managed Service Provider (MSP), Senior Data Analyst and colleagues across the organisation, you'll ensure our technology is reliable, secure and fit for the future. You'll oversee the day-to-day performance of our IT environment, manage supplier relationships and contracts, support digital transformation projects and help shape the future of technology across MHM. The role also plays an important part in maintaining cyber security, supporting data protection compliance and enabling the safe and ethical adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). About you To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience managing IT operations, infrastructure and digital systems within a complex organisation.
  • Have experience working with Managed Service Providers and managing supplier performance against agreed service levels.
  • Be confident overseeing IT projects and contributing to digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems administration and service delivery.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of UK GDPR, data protection legislation and cyber security best practice.
  • Be experienced in supporting end users and delivering an excellent customer-focused IT service.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be collaborative, approachable and committed to building positive working relationships across teams.
  • Be passionate about innovation, continuous improvement and using technology to make a positive difference.
  • It would also be beneficial if you have experience working within the charity, health or social care sector, supporting cloud-based infrastructure, managing IT procurement and contracts, acting as or supporting a Data Protection Officer, or implementing emerging technologies such as AI.
