Job Title: Head of Cyber Defense & Incident Response
Location: London (1 day in office per week, 4 days work from home)
Employment Type: Full-time/Permanent
Salary: £90 000 - £100 000 per year
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Cyber Defense & Incident Response to lead and evolve our cyber security operations across both on-premises and cloud environments.
This role is responsible for defining strategy, strengthening threat detection and response capabilities, and overseeing a modern, resilient security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the cyber defense and incident response strategy across enterprise systems
- Oversee threat detection, vulnerability management, and endpoint security programs
- Manage and optimize relationships with MSSP (Managed Security Service Providers)
- Drive security operations across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Develop and refine incident response playbooks, ensuring rapid containment and recovery
- Evolving threat landscape and implement proactive defense measures
Key Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in cyber defense and incident response roles
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management tools
- Experience working with or managing MSSP partnerships
- Solid understanding of threat intelligence and detection frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
