Senior C# .NET Developer – Front Office – Investment Bank Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an experienced Front Office C# Developer to join their Global Markets IT function, delivering innovative solutions that support XVA, Liquidity and Financial Resource Management. You'll be working partnering closely with Front Office stakeholders to build high-performance applications and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a modern, event-driven architecture. This is a hybrid role based in London paying up to The Role As a Senior C# Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing and enhancing enterprise-grade applications that support critical Front Office functions. You'll contribute to the migration towards modern event-driven architectures while collaborating closely with business users and fellow developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality C# .NET applications.
- Build scalable services within a modern event-driven architecture.
- Work closely with Front Office users to understand business requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and software best practices.
- Support continuous improvement across development, testing and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with international development teams in an Agile environment.
- Champion clean code, software craftsmanship and engineering excellence.
The ideal candidate will have Strong commercial experience with C# .NET and object-oriented programming principles.
- Excellent understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
- Strong experience building service-oriented or distributed systems.
- Advanced MS SQL development skills.
- Experience using DevOps and CI/CD tooling.
- Practical knowledge of AI-assisted software development, including enterprise use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI engineering.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within Agile teams.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
Financial Markets Knowledge Applicants should have experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Financial products (Listed and OTC)
- P&L Explain and market risk (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega)
- XVA (CVA, FVA, ColVA)
- Liquidity Risk (RNFB, NSFR)
- Cash Forecasting
- Balance Sheet Metrics (including Leverage Exposure)
- Pre-trade calculations and trade booking workflows
Desirable Skills Experience with modern front-end technologies would be advantageous, including:
- HTML
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- React
- Redux
