We're partnering with a global leader in fibre optic and connectivity solutions that is investing heavily in the European data centre market. As demand from hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise operators continues to accelerate, we're seeking an ambitious Sales Manager / Key Account Manager to drive growth across the UK and wider European region.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who understands the data centre ecosystem and enjoys winning complex, high-value projects. You'll be at the forefront of major infrastructure developments, working with some of the industry's most influential operators, developers, EPC contractors, consultants, and system integrators.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of developing strategic customer relationships and securing project-based business across the rapidly expanding data centre sector. From early-stage specification through to project delivery, you'll play a pivotal role in influencing designs, winning framework agreements, and delivering commercial success.

The role offers significant autonomy, exposure to some of Europe's largest data centre projects, and the backing of a well-established international manufacturer with a reputation for innovation and technical excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

New Business & Market Development

Identify and win new opportunities with hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise operators, developers, EPC contractors, MEP consultants, and system integrators.

Develop relationships across the data centre ecosystem to build a strong and sustainable pipeline.

Drive product specification and secure long-term framework agreements on major construction and expansion programmes.

Position innovative fibre optic connectivity and cabling solutions within high-growth data centre environments.

Strategic Account Management

Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.

Create and execute account plans aligned to customer growth and infrastructure roadmaps.

Manage opportunities from concept and design stage through installation, commissioning, and handover.

Strengthen partner networks across contractors, distributors, installers, and technology providers.

Commercial & Project Leadership

Lead complex tenders, RFQs, and RFP processes from initial qualification through to contract award.

Coordinate technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders to deliver winning proposals.

Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

Track market activity, investment trends, and emerging opportunities across key European data centre hubs.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven B2B sales, business development, or key account management experience within:
    • Data centre infrastructure
    • Structured cabling
    • Fibre optic connectivity
    • Critical infrastructure
    • Telecommunications infrastructure
  • Track record of winning project-led business and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of data centre design, construction, and physical infrastructure environments.
  • Existing relationships across data centre operators, hyperscalers, colocation providers, contractors, consultants, or integrators.
  • Experience managing technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and project management capability.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Desirable

Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.

Knowledge of data centre specifications, cable regulations, and fire-performance standards.

Experience using CRM, SAP ERP, or similar forecasting and pipeline management tools.
