DevOps Engineer

Who we are

At Mercury, we're redefining how recruitment and staffing firms use technology. Our cloud-based SaaS platform, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, helps businesses automate, scale, and perform at their best.

Founded in 2014, we've grown rapidly into a global organisation with teams across the UK, US, and Australia, trusted by more than 100 customers and 8,000 users. Our growth is powered by innovation and driven by people who care about doing great work. We believe in building technology that changes how the industry works and in creating an environment where talented people can do their best work every day.

What you'll do

As a DevOps Engineer at Mercury, you'll play a key role in automating, streamlining, and enhancing our deployment and release processes. You'll collaborate closely with other DevOps Engineers, Developers, and Operations to ensure that our products are deployed efficiently, reliably, and securely to Azure.

Here's what you can expect to be involved in:

  • Automate deployment processes and optimise efficiency across development, test, and production environments.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, supporting Agile software delivery.
  • Deploy and configure resources within Microsoft Azure and maintain Power Platform environments.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support product releases and environment management.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our tooling, processes, and automation frameworks.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the DevOps function.

What we're looking for

You'll be someone who enjoys collaborating, thinking logically, and getting into the details of how things work.

We're looking for:

  • Around 2-3+ years commercial experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
  • Good scripting skills - ideally PowerShell, but Bash or Python works too.
  • Experience working with Azure (compute, functions, app services, etc.).
  • Awareness of the software development lifecycle and Agile principles.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM).

You don't need to know everything from day one - we're more interested in your ability to problem-solve, learn, and share ideas.
