Solutions Architect

Solutions Architect | Consultancy | SC Clearance Required | 6 Month Initial Contract | Up to £750 per day (Inside IR35) | Central London (2 days per week on-site)

MERITUS are working with a growing tech consultancy looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to support a large-scale enterprise programme focused on system integration and architectural alignment. This role will play a key part in assessing processes and ensuring alignment between existing internal platforms and a supplier-provided system.

Working closely with vendor architects and internal technology teams, you will lead the development of High Level Design (HLD) documentation, ensuring that system interfaces, integration approaches and communication protocols are clearly defined. You will also be responsible for guiding architectural artefacts through internal governance forums while ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and security requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of High Level Design (HLD) documentation in collaboration with vendor architecture and design teams, ensuring integration approaches and system interfaces are clearly defined.
• Drive architectural artefacts through internal governance forums, incorporating feedback and securing formal design approval.
• Work closely with Cyber Security teams to ensure solutions include required security controls and align with organisational security standards.
• Engage with internal stakeholders across technology, operations, and supplier teams to align system behaviours, integration requirements, and architectural approach.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience working as a Solutions Architect within complex enterprise technology environments.
• Strong architectural design capability with experience producing High Level Designs and structured architecture documentation.
• Experience delivering system integrations across multiple platforms and suppliers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills with experience presenting to senior technical and business audiences.
• Active SC Clearance.
