AI Senior Product Owner

£70,000 - £100,000 D.O.E + bonus + pension | London | Hybrid | Banking | AI | CoPilot | Rollouts | Stakeholder Management

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead AI-focused product initiatives, sitting at the intersection of business and technology and helping shape how AI is adopted across the organisation.

The role

This role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, taking ownership of AI-enabled products from concept through delivery and adoption. The focus is not purely on delivery, but on shaping the right solutions, with appropriate governance, controls, and long-term sustainability.

Initial initiatives include the rollout of Microsoft Copilot alongside the design and delivery of bespoke AI agents. You will help determine when off-the-shelf tooling is appropriate versus where tailored solutions are required, and guide delivery through clear principles, guardrails, and ethical standards.

You will work across multiple workstreams, partnering closely with Delivery Managers, engineers, data teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment, prioritisation, and clarity of outcomes.

AI use cases will focus on improving colleague effectiveness, including enhanced customer engagement for relationship managers and back-office automation, while ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, and well governed.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, high-trust environment.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner, ideally within financial services or similarly regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery and the product lifecycle
  • Technical literacy, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering and data teams
  • Experience working with AI-enabled technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, workflow automation, or data-driven platforms
  • A strong appreciation of governance, risk, ethics, and responsible technology adoption
  • The confidence to advise, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders

Experience in a regulated environment is beneficial but not essential.

Working pattern

This role follows a hybrid working model, with two days per week on site, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
