What will you do?
- Build and maintain their Azure-based Data Lakehouse platform, including Databricks and Data Factory
- Design, optimise, and manage data pipelines from ingestion through to consumption
- Manage Dev, UAT, and Production environments, ensuring consistency across all stages
- Champion DevOps best practices including version control, code review, testing, and documentation
- Automate repetitive data preparation and integration tasks to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
- Stay curious and proactive about new data initiatives, proposing innovative approaches to meet evolving requirements
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Solid Data Engineering background across architectures such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Data Lakehouse
- Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and hands-on experience with a cloud data platform (Databricks or Snowflake)
- Experience with agile, DevOps/DataOps principles, and cross-functional collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders
- Good understanding of data modelling, database design, governance, and data quality
Nice-to-have
- Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code experience
- Python, Scala, or other OOP scripting languages
- Automated unit testing experience
