Overview

Method Resourcing has partnered with a Firm who require a hands-on contractor to take end-to-end administrative ownership of the Microsoft Power Platform estate across Development, Test, UAT and Production.

As Power Platform Admin, you will combine tenant-level Power Platform administration with environment deployment, operational support and Power BI administration. The immediate priority is establishing control of the Development and Test environments before supporting UAT and Production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Power Platform and tenant administration

• Create, configure and administer Development, Test, UAT and Production environments.
• Manage tenant-wide DLP policies and connector permissions.
• Monitor and allocate AI Builder credits and Copilot Studio message capacity.
• Administer data gateways, licensing and platform capacity.
• Raise and manage Microsoft support tickets.
• Take immediate ownership of the Development and Test environments.

Environment and release administration

• Deploy approved solutions from Test into UAT and Production.
• Manage users, security groups and Dataverse security roles.
• Administer Copilot Studio agents in UAT and Production, including monitoring, publishing and managing knowledge sources.
• Manage Power Automate flows, environment variables and connection references.
• Provide first-line support for UAT and Production operational issues.

• Receive, publish and administer analytics dashboards delivered through the project handover.
• Configure scheduled data refreshes and data-source credentials.
• Manage workspace permissions and viewer access across UAT and Production.
• Apply sensitivity labels and information-protection policies.
• Assume ongoing ownership of the analytics layer following go-live.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on administration of Microsoft Power Platform across multiple environments.
• Experience with Power Platform Admin Center, Dataverse, Power Automate and Copilot Studio.
• Practical knowledge of environment strategy, DLP policies, connectors, gateways, licensing and capacity management.
• Experience deploying managed solutions through Test, UAT and Production.
• Strong understanding of user access, security groups and Dataverse roles.
• Power BI Service administration, including workspaces, permissions, refresh schedules and data-source credentials.
• Experience supporting business-critical platforms through UAT and production go-live.
• Confident troubleshooting operational issues and managing escalations with Microsoft.

Immediate Priorities

1. Assume ownership of the currently unsupported Development and Test environments.
2. Review the existing tenant configuration, access controls, licensing and capacity.
3. Prepare the platform and deployment process for UAT.
4. Complete the Power BI and analytics handover before UAT go-live.
5. Establish ongoing administration and first-line support for UAT and Production.
