Method Resourcing are supporting a fast-growing, FCA-regulated financial services organisation undergoing a major cloud and digital transformation. They're looking for a Senior IT Category Manager to own the commercial strategy across Cloud (AWS/Azure), Software Licensing, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure.
This is a strategic, high-impact role partnering directly with the CIO, CTO, and CFO. You'll lead multi-million-pound negotiations with major vendors (Microsoft, AWS, key security providers) and shape the technology investment roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end strategy for cloud, software, infrastructure, and cyber categories
- Lead large, complex vendor negotiations (incl. Microsoft EA)
- Partner with senior leadership on digital transformation and cloud migration
- Ensure suppliers meet FCA, GDPR, and security requirements
- Drive cost optimisation, risk reduction, and long-term vendor value
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience as an IT Category Manager in FS, insurance, fintech, or another regulated environment
- Deep knowledge of cloud commercial models, software licensing, and cybersecurity tooling
- Proven experience negotiating high-value contracts (Microsoft, AWS)
- Ability to influence at C-suite level
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, modern tech environment
