This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex environments, leading technical initiatives, and acting as a senior escalation point within a highly regulated and business-critical estate.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and evolving a large-scale hybrid infrastructure spanning private cloud and Azure environments, while ensuring backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities meet demanding operational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain large-scale VMware and private cloud environments
- Lead backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
- Act as a senior escalation point for infrastructure incidents
- Drive root cause analysis and service improvements
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Support infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle management, and project delivery
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong VMware infrastructure experience
- Enterprise backup experience (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik or similar)
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity knowledge
- Experience supporting complex infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
- Experience mentoring or leading other engineers
- Azure and hybrid cloud exposure beneficial
- MSP or regulated industry experience advantageous
