Analyst and Associate - Technology M&A - Investment Banking

A well-established UK specialised boutique Investment banking platform is looking to appoint an Analyst and Associate into their growing Technology M&A team in London.

The platform is recognised for delivering high-quality advice across the UK mid-market, on a broad range of transactions including sell-side, buy-side, capital raises and strategic advisory. The team works across a variety of sectors, offering integrated, hands-on execution within a collaborative and high-performance environment.

The role offers direct exposure to senior stakeholders, including management teams, boards and investors, with the chance to work on complex transactions in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side and capital raising mandates
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including three-statement and valuation models (DCF, LBO, comparables)
  • Prepare high-quality marketing materials, including information memoranda, management presentations and teasers
  • Conduct financial analysis, industry research and strategic assessments to support client advice
  • Assist in managing due diligence processes and data rooms
  • Coordinate with clients, investors, legal advisers and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Support senior team members in client interactions and project management
  • Contribute to idea generation and origination efforts, including pitch materials and market analysis

Candidate Profile

  • 1-5 years experience in investment banking or a related field
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Commercial awareness and interest in M&A and corporate finance
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent are advantageous
