Role Overview

We are supporting a leading global data centre developer in the appointment of a Vice President, Construction to lead the delivery of a growing hyperscale portfolio across EMEA. This executive leadership role is responsible for defining construction strategy, building high-performing delivery teams, and ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with executive leadership, the VP of Construction will oversee regional construction operations, drive contractor performance, establish delivery standards, and support the continued growth of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the construction strategy and delivery of multiple hyperscale data centre projects across EMEA.
  • Build, mentor, and lead regional Construction Directors, Project Directors, and Construction Managers.
  • Oversee programme, budget, quality, safety, commercial performance, and project risk across the portfolio.
  • Develop strong relationships with General Contractors, consultants, customers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive consistency in project delivery, governance, reporting, and construction best practices.
  • Support contractor selection, procurement strategy, and commercial negotiations.
  • Partner with Development, Design, Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide regular portfolio updates, forecasting, and strategic reporting to executive leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and organisational growth across the construction function.

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience delivering large-scale hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects, ideally working client-side for a data centre owner, developer, operator, or hyperscaler.
  • Proven experience leading regional construction teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong track record managing General Contractors, consultants, and executive stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience delivering projects from pre-construction through commissioning and operational handover.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, programme, and leadership capabilities.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
