IT Manager / Technology Manager
IT Manager / Technology Manager
£50,000 – £65,000 + 15% bonus
Brockenhurst, New Forest | Hybrid (typically 4 days onsite)
Don't just support the business. Help shape it.
Most IT Manager roles are about maintaining systems.
This one is about helping drive the business forward and ensuring they stay at the forefront of everything that they do.
You'll be the person who sits between technology and the wider organisation. The person people turn to when they need advice. The person who can spot opportunities before others do. The person who doesn't wait to be told what to improve next.
If you enjoy solving business problems with technology, influencing senior stakeholders, and helping shape long-term strategy, this role could be exactly what you're looking for.
What's in it for you?
- Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + 15% bonus
- Beautiful New Forest location
- Hybrid working (typically 4 days onsite)
- Bonus scheme - 15% bonus
- Private healthcare & dental cover
- Life assurance
- 25 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown
- Significant opportunity to influence the future technology direction of the business
- High visibility role working closely with senior leadership
What's the role really about?
This isn't a service desk management role.
And it isn't a traditional infrastructure management role either.
An external IT partner handles much of the day-to-day support and operational activity.
Your role is to make sure technology is helping the business perform at its best.
You'll work closely with leadership teams across the organisation, understanding how people work, where frustrations exist, and where technology can create better outcomes.
Sometimes that will mean improving processes.
Sometimes it will mean introducing new tools.
Sometimes it will mean challenging the status quo and bringing new ideas to the table.
You'll be expected to think strategically, communicate clearly, and help ensure the business remains at the forefront of technology rather than simply keeping up with it.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as the internal technology lead and trusted advisor to the business
- Shaping the technology roadmap and helping define future priorities
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, collaboration, security, and user experience
- Managing relationships with external technology partners and suppliers
- Leading software evaluations, trials, and technology improvement initiatives
- Working closely with teams across the business to understand their challenges and objectives
- Driving adoption of new technologies and ways of working
- Supporting senior leadership with technology decisions, investment planning, and business cases
- Helping improve internal collaboration, information management, and digital processes
- Ensuring meeting room and collaboration technologies are reliable and professional at all times
What you'll bring
- Previous experience in an IT Manager, Technology Manager, Service Delivery Manager, or similar leadership position
- A strong technical background across Microsoft technologies, infrastructure, and business systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Experience working with third-party suppliers, MSPs, or outsourced technology providers
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to challenge, influence, and recommend improvements
- Someone who enjoys building relationships and becoming a visible part of the wider business
The type of person who'll thrive here
You're naturally curious.
You don't just ask "How do we fix this?"
You ask:
"Is there a better way of doing this altogether?"
You enjoy working with people. You like understanding how different teams operate. And when you see an opportunity to improve something, you don't wait for permission to think about it.
You bring ideas.
You build consensus.
And you help make it happen.
Why this role?
Technology is becoming increasingly important to the future of this business.
They need someone who can help lead that journey.
Not by sitting in the background managing tickets.
But by becoming a trusted voice around the table and helping shape what comes next.
If that sounds like the type of challenge you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
