IT Support Technician

IT Support Technician

£30,000 - £38,000 | Stoke-on-Trent | Office Based

“More than just another support role”.

Some IT support jobs are all about keeping things running... This one is about helping shape what's next.

You'll join a successful, family-owned engineering group that's grown rapidly over the last few years and is investing heavily in its technology, systems and infrastructure. With multiple businesses coming together under one roof, there's plenty to improve, plenty to learn and genuine opportunities to make your mark.

If you're looking for a role where you can grow into infrastructure, projects and, ultimately, a more senior IT position, keep reading.

What's in it for you?

  • £30,000 - £38,000 salary
  • Join a growing business where IT is becoming increasingly important
  • Broad exposure across Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, infrastructure and business systems
  • Work alongside trusted external technology partners on exciting improvement projects
  • Clear opportunity to develop into a more senior infrastructure-focused role over time

What you'll be doing

You'll become the go-to person for day-to-day IT support across the business, helping colleagues with everything from desktop issues and Microsoft 365 through to networking, device management and infrastructure administration.

Alongside supporting users, you'll help improve the IT environment. That includes strengthening Microsoft 365, Active Directory and endpoint management, supporting technology projects, improving documentation, and bringing greater structure to the way IT is delivered.

You'll also work closely with specialist partners on projects including Microsoft 365 improvements, SharePoint, infrastructure and wider business systems.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in a 1st and 2nd line IT support role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows and Active Directory
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops and end users
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to keep learning
  • Strong communication skills and an approachable, customer-focused personality

Why this role?

This isn't an organisation with a large IT department where you'll become just another number.

It's a business where you'll be trusted, supported and given the chance to grow alongside the company.

Today, you'll be solving problems and supporting users.

Tomorrow, you could be leading projects, taking ownership of infrastructure, and helping shape the future of IT across the entire group.
