M365 Project Support Engineer
£250-£300 per day | Inside IR35
Cosham, Portsmouth | Full-time onsite
Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Initial 2-3 month contract
The complex M365 issues land with you. So does the opportunity to improve what's behind them.
If you enjoy getting to the bottom of technical problems and delivering projects that make systems work better, this contract brings both together.
Joining an internal IT team, you'll be a key escalation point for Microsoft 365 queries, helping service desk colleagues resolve the issues that need deeper expertise.
Alongside that, you'll deliver M365 projects, upgrades, installations and migrations, taking work through to completion and helping users get the most from the changes.
What's in it for you?
- A varied assignment. Combine hands-on troubleshooting with project delivery.
- Ownership. Take responsibility for complex issues and assigned projects.
- Visible impact. Work directly with colleagues who use the technology you support and improve.
- A broad Microsoft environment. Apply your skills across M365, identity, endpoint management and supporting infrastructure.
- Long term commitment - there is a potential option this could turn into a long term contract or even offered on a permanent basis
What you'll do
- Resolve escalated M365 issues, supporting the service desk with technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver Microsoft 365 projects, including migrations, upgrades and new implementations.
- Support and improve Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID and Intune.
- Manage access, permissions and licensing, investigating service issues and strengthening security.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to keep projects moving.
- Document changes clearly and help users adopt new tools and ways of working.
What you'll need
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting experience beyond day-to-day account management.
- A track record of delivering Microsoft cloud projects or migrations.
- Confidence with Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, Defender and PowerShell.
- A sound understanding of Windows infrastructure, networking and Microsoft security.
- The ability to own a technical problem, explain it clearly and see it through.
Experience migrating from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, or building solutions with Power Apps, would also be useful.
