Senior Security Engineer - Excellent stakeholder management experience is required
We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security team and play a key role in a major digital transformation programme.
This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering security technologies, providing technical leadership across projects, and ensuring systems, data, and services remain secure throughout business change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of security infrastructure, tooling, and controls.
- Provide expertise across Security Architecture, Application Security, Cloud Security, and Cryptography.
- Support projects by embedding security requirements and assurance activities.
- Coordinate penetration testing and manage remediation activities.
- Contribute to security architecture, secure SDLC, and application security standards.
- Act as an escalation point during major incidents, disaster recovery, and business continuity events.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure secure delivery practices.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Senior Security Engineering role within a mid-to-large organisation, ideally in Financial Services, Insurance, or another regulated industry.
- Strong background delivering cyber security projects in fast-paced environments.
- Hands-on experience with traditional and modern security technologies.
- Expertise in SAST, DAST, SCA and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CSSP or equivalent. are a nice to have
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
