Modernization Solutions Architect – BFSI | London

We are seeking a senior Modernization Solutions Architect to join a leading Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) client in Central London.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on modernizing legacy systems, enabling cloud-native architectures, and implementing AI-driven solutions across enterprise technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead large-scale application and database modernization programmes for BFSI clients
• Design solutions across mainframe, midrange, and distributed systems
• Leverage AI and cloud tools for automated code analysis, refactoring, and modernization
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technology, and cross-functional teams
• Architect scalable, resilient solutions using microservices, APIs, and event-driven patterns

Candidate Requirements:

• Deep hands-on mainframe expertise (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, batch jobs, legacy integrations)
• Strong architecture and solutioning skills, with the ability to map legacy systems to modern platforms
• Proven experience delivering large-scale modernization programmes
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading multi-team or multi-vendor modernization initiatives
• Collaborative, adaptable, and able to guide teams through complex transformation

Salary: £120,000 + bonus + benefits
