Solution Architect - .NET Core

Location: Central London (5 Days per Week Office Based)

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a growing technology team based in Central London. This is a hands-on architecture role where you'll design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions, working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong Microsoft technology background who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while shaping architecture strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Define solution architecture, technical standards and best practices.
• Work closely with developers, product owners and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide architectural leadership throughout the software development life cycle.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and aligned with business objectives.
• Review technical designs and mentor development teams.
• Identify opportunities to modernise existing platforms and applications.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Architect.
• Strong hands-on background with .NET Core/ASP.NET Core.
• Excellent knowledge of C# and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and data architecture.
• Experience with event-driven and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of security, authentication and identity management.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Desirable

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• TOGAF, Microsoft Azure or other architecture certifications.
• Experience within Financial Services, Insurance or other highly regulated industries.
