Description
Our client is looking for a skilled Full Stack Adobe Commerce Cloud / Magento Developer to lead the technical delivery of a large-scale ecommerce platform for a key client. The role involves managing end-to-end development, from planning and implementation to optimisation and integration with wider business systems. You'll collaborate with both internal and client-side teams - including design, UX, and project management - to deliver high-performing, user-focused solutions. This is a senior, client-facing position ideal for someone with deep Adobe Commerce expertise, strong full stack development skills, and the ability to guide projects and mentor others within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Lead the technical delivery of a high-performance Adobe Commerce Cloud platform.
- Build, maintain, and optimise site features to support business objectives and enhance user experience.
- Translate UX and design concepts into robust, scalable, and high-quality implementations.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for the client, contributing to planning sessions and solution design.
- Manage project developers, including task scoping, code review, and delivery oversight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deploy new functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.
- Oversee integrations with third-party systems (e.g. ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways).
- Ensure platform stability and performance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support junior developers, contributing to shared best practices.
Profile
- Strong full stack development expertise (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Proven experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud and Magento 2 (custom modules, theming, architecture).
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce hosting environments and deployment workflows.
- Expertise in API development and integration (REST, GraphQL).
- Experience with complex data integrations between ecommerce platforms and business systems.
- Proficiency with modern development tools (GitHub, Composer).
- Familiarity with containerisation and DevOps tools (Docker, Valet).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working directly with clients in a fast-paced agency or similar environment.
- Adobe Commerce certifications (e.g. Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Commerce Developer).
- Experience with A/B or multivariate testing platforms (e.g. VWO).
- Understanding of SEO best practices for Magento.
- Performance optimisation expertise (front-end and back-end).
- Familiarity with other ecommerce or front-end frameworks (Shopify, React, WooCommerce).
- Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience mentoring or managing development teams.
