Description

  • Manage bookkeeping and accounting records for a varied portfolio of clients
  • Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts and control accounts
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and process payments
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Maintain and manage cloud-based accounting systems
  • Support month-end and year-end processes
  • Monitor online bank feeds and financial data integration
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting and bookkeeping queries
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate client delivery
  • Support clients in adopting efficient digital accounting processes

Profile

  • Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience gained within practice or industry
  • Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
  • Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and similar platforms
  • Experience with digital bookkeeping tools and automation software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience with Dext or similar software would be advantageous
