Description
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting records for a varied portfolio of clients
- Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts and control accounts
- Match purchase orders to invoices and process payments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Maintain and manage cloud-based accounting systems
- Support month-end and year-end processes
- Monitor online bank feeds and financial data integration
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting and bookkeeping queries
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate client delivery
- Support clients in adopting efficient digital accounting processes
Profile
- Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience gained within practice or industry
- Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and similar platforms
- Experience with digital bookkeeping tools and automation software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience with Dext or similar software would be advantageous
