Description
The successful candidate will have experience of developing financial systems within a complex organisation, ensuring robust financial reporting, data integrity, and compliance with accounting and audit requirements. Using your expertise in ERP implementations, you will drive system improvements, support strategic change initiatives, and deliver high-quality financial solutions while managing projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Proven financial systems operation and development experience at a day-to-day and strategic level, including managing systems change in a large and complex organisation.
- Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting including the preparation of financial statements, with the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the outputs from financial systems to meet accounting and audit requirements.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems to meet organisational needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement system improvements.
- Provide training and support to system users across the organisation.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Assist in integrating new financial systems or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare documentation and reports on system usage and updates.
Profile
A successful Finance Systems Accountant will have:
- Must have a professional accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc
- Strong technical skills in financial systems and software.
- Experience in system implementation and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
Job Offer
Salary - DOE - Circa £70k base
Hybrid working - 2 days a week in their office in Greater Manchester
