Finance Systems Project Manager

This role will focus on improving and optimising the Finance team's use of its ERP system, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, reduce manual intervention and deliver better, more insightful reporting through the ERP system and Power BI.

Description

· Optimise the use of the ERP system within Finance, identifying opportunities to make better use of existing functionality.

· Reduce manual processes and workarounds through improved system functionality and greater automation.

· Identify and implement system improvements, including enhancements, integrations and new functionality.

· Improve reporting from the ERP system, making better use of the financial and operational information held within it.

· Ensure Finance requirements are properly reflected within the ERP system, including financial processes, reporting needs and system configuration.

· Test and support the implementation of ERP developments, particularly changes affecting Finance.

· Act as a key Finance contact for ERP reporting and data requirements.

· Improve the quality and reliability of financial data, identifying issues and working with relevant teams to address their underlying causes.

· Improve controls and reconciliations to increase confidence in the accuracy and consistency of financial information.

· Develop better reporting through Power BI and other reporting tools, creating more dynamic and insightful management information.

· Reduce reliance on manually produced spreadsheets through increased automation and integration.

· Review and improve Finance processes, identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and remove unnecessary manual activity and duplication.

Profile

· Recent and relevant experience of improving, developing and/or implementing ERP systems, ideally within a Finance environment.

· A strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes and how these interact with ERP systems.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with the Finance team to understand requirements and maximise the value of the system.

· A proactive, self-starting approach, with the confidence to use your own initiative, identify improvements and drive them through to completion.

· You will need to be resilient and comfortable working in an environment where you may need to challenge existing processes and ways of working.

· Ideally, you will be available to start by the end of October, although candidates on notice periods will also be considered.

Job Offer
