Description

• Produce and maintain accurate financial information relating to project delivery and usage-driven income, ensuring figures are complete, reliable, and reported in line with internal governance.
• Record project and consumption-based revenue transactions within the finance system, ensuring invoicing reflects approved activity and contractual terms.
• Play an active role in the month-end close by preparing reconciliations, reviewing movements, and providing clear explanations for variances and trends.
• Review underlying data sources to identify inconsistencies, resolve errors, and ensure revenue is recognised appropriately.
• Track and analyse usage-related income streams, investigating unusual patterns and supporting accurate customer billing.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audit and year-end processes, responding to queries with clear, well-reasoned explanations.
• Apply and uphold financial controls, ensuring reporting processes align with company policies and audit expectations.
• Work closely with finance and non-finance teams to deliver meaningful reporting that supports operational and commercial decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and visibility, contributing to ongoing process enhancements.

Profile

A successful Junior Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised or working-towards qualification in accounting or finance.
• Practical exposure to financial and statutory reporting, ideally within a technology-led or fast-paced commercial environment.
• Solid understanding of core accounting concepts and the application of financial reporting frameworks.
• Strong analytical capability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confidence using financial systems, alongside advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
