Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist will manage end-to-end UK and EMEA payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration across HR and Finance, and a proactive approach to improving payroll operations in a fast-paced tech environment.

Description

  • Process monthly payroll for UK and EMEA employees, including starters, leavers, bonuses, and statutory payments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely submission of RTI reports to HMRC.
  • Liaise with HR to ensure employee data is up-to-date and correctly reflected in payroll systems.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and support Finance with month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Manage pension contributions, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, tax codes, and other payroll-related matters.
  • Stay current with UK and EMEA payroll legislation and ensure compliance.
  • Support audits and implement process improvements where needed.

Profile

  • Proven experience in UK and EMEA payroll processing, ideally within a tech or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK and EMEA payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory leave.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, PayFit, Sage, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
