Description

The key responsibilities of a Payroll Specialist will include:

  • Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including tax codes and deductions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer queries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management when required.
  • Manage payroll software and ensure data integrity.
  • Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and implement necessary updates.
  • Support year-end payroll processes, including P11D and P60 preparation.

Profile

A successful Payroll Specialist should have:

  • Experience in end to end payroll processing ideally within a bureau environment.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient knowledge of manual calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • A positive approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines.
