Description
The key responsibilities of a Payroll Specialist will include:
- Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including tax codes and deductions.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer queries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management when required.
- Manage payroll software and ensure data integrity.
- Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and implement necessary updates.
- Support year-end payroll processes, including P11D and P60 preparation.
Profile
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
- Experience in end to end payroll processing ideally within a bureau environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient knowledge of manual calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- A positive approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines.
