I'm working with a global technology business operating across multiple international markets, with a rapidly expanding presence in South America. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Management Accounts team, supporting South American operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely management accounts, strengthening financial controls, and partnering with both internal and external stakeholders to support operational success.
Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will contribute to the production and analysis of monthly management accounts for our South American entities. Working closely with in-country accountants and overseas advisors, you will ensure robust financial reporting and compliance across the region.
You will also support the development of best practices and enhanced financial controls, driving continuous improvement in processes and reporting accuracy. Given the interconnected nature of financial and tax processes within Brazil, you will collaborate closely with the Tax team to ensure full compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with in-country accountants to produce accurate and timely month-end management accounts.
- Completing reconciliations between local and corporate ledgers.
- Producing and reviewing statutory accounts in line with local requirements.
- Managing the in-territory year-end audit process.
- Monitoring overseas advisor requirements and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Supporting the development and documentation of procedures and best practices.
- Strengthening internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Building and maintaining strong knowledge of South American regulatory and accounting environments.
Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with international exposure
- Some VAT / Tax experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Proactive, positive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with overseas stakeholders and managing external advisors is desirable.
Job Offer
- Competitive annual salary between £50,000 and £52,500.
