Description

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Manage technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Provide strategic advice on accounting policies and their implications for the business.
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Mentor and guide junior finance team members as required.

Profile

A successful Senior Technical Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in IFRS or UK GAAP.
• Experience in financial reporting and compliance within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
