Systems Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Accountant to lead the development, optimisation, and governance of a finance systems environment centred around NetSuite Financials and associated reporting tools.

Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day administration, development, and optimisation of NetSuite Financials.
- Act as the organisation's finance systems subject matter expert.
- Drive finance systems improvements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead systems projects from concept through to successful implementation.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting, dashboards, and management information.
- Ensure robust governance, financial controls, and data integrity across finance systems.
- Monitor integrations and troubleshoot system issues.
- Deliver training, guidance, and support to users across the organisation.
- Supervise and develop a junior member of the finance team.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, operational teams, and external software providers to deliver continuous improvement.
Profile
- Significant experience in a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems role.
- Strong expertise in NetSuite or another ERP finance system.
- Proven experience delivering finance systems enhancements and transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, and financial controls.
- Experience improving processes, reporting, and system functionality.
- Ideally experience within the charity, public sector, housing, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- The confidence to influence and engage with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with experience supporting and developing others.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Pension scheme included.
- 12 month Fixed-term contract opportunity in Birmingham.
