HR Systems Project Manager
The HR Systems Project Manager will lead a key HR transformation project, supporting the transition, procurement and implementation of new HR systems across areas including HRIS, payroll and benefits. Working closely with senior stakeholders, they will coordinate the project end-to-end and ensure a smooth transition to the new systems and processes.

Description
- Lead the delivery of HR systems transformation projects from initiation through to successful implementation.
- Manage the transition of HR systems and processes to new standalone solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
- Support the selection, procurement and implementation of new HR technology, including HRIS, payroll, benefits and reward systems.
- Collaborate closely with HR, IT and senior stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, milestones and dependencies.
- Coordinate internal teams, external suppliers and third parties to ensure the effective delivery and integration of new systems.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide clear progress updates and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues and implementation challenges.
- Support change management, training and end-user adoption to ensure teams are confident using new systems and processes.
- Monitor systems and processes following implementation, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation.
Profile
A successful HR Systems Project Manager should have:
- Proven experience delivering HR systems transformation and implementation projects.
- Experience working across HRIS, payroll, benefits and reward systems.
- Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and procurement through to implementation.
- Previous experience managing system transitions, migrations or business separation projects would be highly advantageous.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, risks, dependencies and multiple workstreams.
- Experience working with and managing third-party suppliers and technology providers.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence working closely with senior leadership, HR and IT teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise project updates and reporting.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to identify challenges and drive solutions.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, changing environment and taking ownership of key deliverables.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £65,000 to £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Benefits package to be confirmed.
- Fixed-term contract based in Manchester.
