HRIS Analyst

An HRIS Analyst role focused on supporting the design, implementation and optimisation of HRIS platforms (particularly Workday) and improving end-to-end HR processes. The role partners closely with HR, Payroll and Finance to translate HR requirements into effective system and process solutions, supporting HR transformation across multiple regions.

Client Details

We're supporting a large, complex organisation to recruit an HRIS Analyst. This is a broad, hands-on position supporting significant HR systems and operating model change across the UK and Nordic regions.The role plays a key part in the design and implementation of Workday, supporting business change requests, documenting end-to-end HR processes and working closely with HR, Finance and Payroll colleagues. You'll also support the transition of HR Shared Services to Romania, helping to embed new ways of working and ensure effective knowledge transfer.

Description

  • Support the design, implementation and optimisation of HR systems, with a strong focus on Workday
  • Gather, document and translate HR business requirements into clear system and process specifications
  • Map and improve end-to-end HR processes (hire-to-retire, onboarding, employee lifecycle, case management)
  • Support HR system change across platforms such as Workday, PeopleXD, Sympa, Cornerstone and onboarding tools
  • Act as a bridge between HR teams and technical partners to assess and prioritise HR system change requests
  • Support the transition and optimisation of HR Shared Services, including documentation, knowledge transfer and training
  • Work closely with Finance and Payroll Business Analysts to support system integration and data accuracy
  • Produce clear process documentation, playbooks and guidance to support adoption and consistency

Profile

You'll bring demonstrable experience working with HR systems and HR processes, ideally within a multi-region or shared services environment.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience as an HR Systems Business Analyst / HRIS Analyst
  • Hands-on exposure to HRIS platforms (Workday highly desirable; PeopleXD, Oracle, SAP, SuccessFactors also relevant)
  • Strong understanding of HR operational processes and the employee lifecycle
  • Experience translating HR requirements into system and process solutions
  • Confident working directly with HR teams, not just IT stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Workday design or implementation experience
  • HR Shared Services or offshoring exposure
  • Payroll or finance system integration experience

Job Offer

  • Based in Birmingham City Centre with occasional travel to London, Leeds and Romania
  • No people management responsibility
  • £50,000-£60,000
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Two-stage interview process (Teams interview followed by a presentation)
