People Partner | Tech Business

This People Partner role offers the opportunity to act as the number two to the Director of People & Culture, while taking ownership of employee relations, organisational development, employee engagement, learning & development, and strategic People initiatives. Description

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders, providing expert coaching and guidance on people-related matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and flexible working matters.
  • Coach managers to build high-performing, engaged, and inclusive teams.
  • Support organisational development, change management, and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, culture, and inclusion programmes across the business.
  • Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and support learning and development initiatives.
  • Support succession planning and career development activities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, and offboarding processes.
  • Manage People systems, employee records, and HR documentation, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
  • Prepare payroll-related information and employment documentation, including contracts and contractual amendments.
  • Produce people metrics and reporting to support business decision-making
  • Support People projects and continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance employee experience and business performance.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, taking ownership of a broad range of People matters while acting as the number two to the Director of People & Culture

Profile

  • Proven experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, with the confidence to independently manage complex disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and flexible working cases.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience coaching, influencing, and challenging managers to drive high-performance and positive employee outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience implementing HR initiatives, improving people processes, and supporting organisational change.
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Experience working within a growing SME, scale-up, technology, software, or professional services environment.

Job Offer

  • Salary of £45,000 to £60,000, depending on experience, plus bonus.
  • Permanent position within a growing and highly regarded technology business.
  • Hybrid working, with just 1-2 days per week in the Liverpool Street office.
  • Up to 4 weeks per year working remotely, offering additional flexibility and work-life balance.
